Tour Itinerary

Danang city tour 1 day

Overview of Danang city tour 1 day

Vietnam’s coastal star deserves more than a quick photo stop, and our Danang city tour packs the soul of this city into a single, well-paced day.

This Danang one day tour is built for travelers from Australia, the US, the UK, Europe and also for Asian tourists.

You will climb sacred limestone caves, stand beneath Vietnam’s tallest Buddha statue, haggle with grandmothers at a 1940s French-built market, and end the day with your toes in the sand at My Khe Beach.

If you have just 24 hours in central Vietnam, this Danang city tour 1-day tour is the smartest way to spend it.

Danang day tour itinerary

08:00: Meet and greet at your hotel lobby

The Danang city tour starts directly at your hotel. Our Vietnam Trails Travel team will meet you on time, whether your place is near My Khe beach or in the central Hai Chau district.

You will get a cold bottle of water and get into the air-conditioned car for a short 15-minute drive south to start your Danang day trip.

08:30: Marble Mountain

You will arrive at the Marble Mountain, the first stop on this 1-day Danang city tour itinerary.

You will walk up the stone steps of Mount Thuy Son to see the natural caves and old temples.

The tour guide will lead you into Huyen Khong Cave, which is a large cave.

You will see how the sunlight shines through the ceiling onto the old Buddhist shrines built into the stone walls.

Note: You should wear good walking shoes because the stone floor inside the cave can be wet and slippery.

10:00: Dragon Bridge & Han River Bridge

You will travel back to the city center to see the famous bridges on your Danang day tour

The driver will park the van near the Dragon Bridge so you can walk around and take photos of the long, yellow steel dragon.

You will learn how this bridge rotates 90 degrees at night to open the way for big ships.

10:30: Museum of Cham Sculpture

You will take a short drive to the Museum of Cham Sculpture for the next part of your Danang excursion

The tour guide will explain how the art styles changed over the centuries from the 7th to the 15th century.

11:30: Traditional Mi Quang Lunch

You will take a lunch break on your Danang one-day tour to try popular local food at a family restaurant on Hoang Dieu Street.

The main dish is Mi Quang, which is the most famous noodle dish in the region. This dish has thick yellow rice noodles, pork, shrimp, peanuts, and a little bit of tasty broth.

You will also try Banh Xeo, which is a crispy pancake that you wrap in rice paper with fresh herbs and lettuce.

Note: Please tell us your dietary needs when booking so we can prepare vegetarian or gluten-free food for you.

13:30: Han Market

You will visit the Han Market to see how local people shop every day. You will spend one hour walking through the busy aisles with your guide.

The ground floor sells local snacks, dried food, and fresh tropical fruits like mangosteen and mango.

The second floor sells clothing, shoes, and fabrics. The guide will help you talk to the sellers if you want to buy some souvenirs or local coffee.

14:30: Linh Ung Pagoda & Lady Buddha on Son Tra Peninsula

You will ride in the van up the hills of the Son Tra Peninsula for the next stop of your Danang city tour full day itinerary.
