You will ride a world-record cable car system, walk along the iconic Golden Bridge and explore a massive indoor amusement park.

Ba Na Hills tour itinerary

07:30 – 08:30: Transfer to Ba Na Hills

If you stay in Hoi An, the driver and guide will arrive at your hotel lobby at 07: 30.

For guests staying in Da Nang, our Vietnam Trails Travel team will pick you up between 08:00 and 08:30. 

You will travel in a clean, air-conditioned vehicle. The drive from Da Nang center to the foot of the mountain takes around 45 minutes, while the drive from Hoi An takes approximately 90 minutes. 

Along the way, the tour guide will share practical information about the region, the local countryside and the schedule for your Ba Na Hills tour 1 day.

09:30: Board the record-breaking cable car system

You will arrive at the main gate of the mountain resort at 09: 30. The guide will collect the entry tickets and lead you to the cable car station. 

You will board a cabin that belongs to a system holding four distinct world records.

These records include the longest single-wire cable car system at 5,771.61 meters and the highest altitude difference between stations at 1,368.93 meters. 

The system also features the longest non-stop cable length of 11,587 meters and the heaviest cable roll weighing 141.24 tons. 

During the 20-minute aerial ride, you can see the dense forests below, look down at the Mo Stream, and observe the Toc Tien Waterfall from above.

10:00: Explore the Golden Bridge, Flower Gardens, and Wine Cellar

The cable car arrives at Station 2, located at an elevation of 1,138 meters above sea level. 

This section houses the main historical and cultural outdoor sites of the mountain.

The Golden Bridge: You will walk directly onto this architectural structure.

Two giant concrete hands support the gold-colored pedestrian bridge, offering a clear view of the surrounding valleys and coastlines. 

This spot is the main highlight of the Golden Bridge tour, and you will have ample time to walk from end to end and take photographs.

Le Jardin D’Amour: You will visit this large landscaped flower garden right next to the bridge. 

The garden is split into nine distinct architectural zones, each featuring a different layout and a collection of rare international flowers.

The 100-Year-Old Grapefruit Tree & Funicular: The guide will show you the historic grapefruit tree situated near Vietnam’s first funicular railway. 

This climbing-mountain train helps transport visitors across the steep slopes between the gardens and the older French ruins.

Debay Wine Cellar: You can optionally enter this deep stone tunnel built by French colonials in 1923. 

The cellar runs 100 meters through the mountain rock to maintain a constant cool temperature for storing vintage wines. 

Please note that you will pay the entrance fee on your own if you wish to taste wine inside the cellar.

11:00: Visit Linh Ung Pagoda

You will take a short walk to the local Buddhist complex on the mountainside.

The main feature of this sacred site is the massive white Gautama Buddha statue, which stands 27 meters tall and faces the ocean. 

You can walk around the quiet courtyard, look at the traditional curved roofs of the pagoda, and observe the local pine trees.

11:30: Lunch at a Mountain Restaurant

The guide will escort you to a large restaurant on the upper level of the resort.

You will sit down for a comprehensive buffet lunch featuring a wide selection of traditional Vietnamese dishes, local specialties and international options.

You have one hour to eat, drink water, and rest in the indoor dining hall before the afternoon activities begin.

12:30: Conquer Chua Mountain peak

You will start the afternoon by heading to the highest point of the resort area.

This section requires walking up a series of stone steps to reach the absolute summit.

Chua Mountain peak: You will stand at the highest peak of Ba Na, measuring exactly 1,487 meters above sea level. 

This viewpoint gives you an unobstructed 360-degree view of the entire mountain range and the distant Da Nang city coastline.

Linh Chua Linh Tu temple: You will step inside this traditional multi-story temple built at the very top of the peak. 

The quiet atmosphere allows you to see how locals practice mountain worship.

You can observe the incense altars and the large bronze bell tower.

13:15: Visit the French Square and French Village

You will walk down from the peak into the French Village zone. This area recreates a classic European town square, complete with stone-paved streets, gothic-style facades, large fountains and replica old brick houses. 

You can walk through the squares, watch street performers, and take photos of the unique architecture that mimics medieval Europe.

13:45: Enter Fantasy Park Entertainment Center

The guide will lead you into the massive indoor amusement complex, which ranks as one of the largest indoor recreation parks in Vietnam.

The park offers three levels of entertainment built deep into the mountain rock. 

Your general ticket covers entry to most attractions. You can choose your activities based on your personal preferences: 

The Freefall Tower:  You can try this drop ride that lifts you up toward the ceiling before dropping down safely.

4D and 5D Cinemas:  You can sit in moving seats with wind, water, and sound effects during short adventure movies.

The Skiver & Death Race:  You can participate in active motion games and driving simulators.

Dinosaur Park: You can walk through an indoor exhibit featuring large animatronic dinosaurs with realistic sounds and movements.

14:30: Return to the Cable Car Station for Descent

You will meet the tour guide at a designated assembly point in the French Village.

The guide will lead the group back to the upper cable car station. 

You will board a direct cabin to travel down the mountain. This return leg provides another view of the rocky cliffs and changing vegetation zones as the altitude drops back to sea level.

15:00: Tour Conclusion

The driver will wait for you at the mountain base drop-off zone. You will get back into your assigned private vehicle.

You can sleep or rest during the return drive. The vehicle will follow the main highway back to the coastal lowlands.

The driver will pull up directly in front of your hotel entrance in Da Nang around 15: 45.

If your accommodation is located in Hoi An, the driver will deliver you to your resort gate at approximately 16: 30. 

The guide will assist you with your bags and say goodbye. This drop-off marks the official conclusion of your Bana Hills day tour.
