Mekong Delta Tour From Ho Chi Minh City

08:30 am: Departure from your hotel in Ho Chi Minh

The driver will pick you up at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City for a private car transfer to My Tho, where the Mekong Delta tour begins.

10:00 am: Visit the Vinh Trang Pagoda

Vinh Trang Pagoda features unique, ancient architectural and artistic relics dating back to the 19th century. Eastern styles and Western influences blend strongly into its architecture, creating a work of great cultural and design value.

Upon arriving at Vinh Trang Pagoda, visitors will be overwhelmed by the sight of the Buddha statues, meticulously and creatively carved by master craftsmen.

11:00 am: Upon arrival at the My Tho Pier

You will then board a motorized boat and go down the Tien River. Your boat will go through picturesque canals, delivering you to several islands.

11:20 pm: the Unicorn Island (Con Lan)

This is a popular stop for visiting a local fruit orchard, sampling fresh tropical fruits, and listening to traditional Vietnamese folk music.

11:45 pm: the Coconut Candy Workshop and Bee Farm

Experience the fascinating process of making coconut candy, a local specialty. You’ll see how it’s made from scratch and can sample different flavors.

12:15 pm: Rowing Boat Experience

Guests will take a rowboat through narrow canals, admiring rows of natural nipa palms and the simple countryside scenery. The group will experience the feeling of rowing in a small canal under two rows of cool green nipa palms.

Upon arriving at a local’s house, the group will stop to enjoy a cup of honey tea, then continue walking along the village road. The group will visit a coconut candy factory—a specialty of Ben Tre—and a rice paper factory.

12:30 pm: Enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride

Take a horse-drawn carriage ride through the village roads of a small commune to have lunch and admire the fruit orchards and the simple life of the people in this coconut-growing region.

1:15 pm: Enjoy a delicious Vietnamese lunch

Have lunch at a local restaurant on one of the islands, often featuring fresh Mekong Delta specialties like “Elephant Ear Fish.”

14h30 pm: Visit the Ben Tre Province.

After lunch, the boat will take you across to Ben Tre Province, known as the “Land of Coconuts.” Here, you might visit a local handicraft village where products are made from coconut wood or other natural materials. You’ll then transfer back to the My Tho pier.

17h30 pm Return to your hotel.

Depart My Tho for Ho Chi Minh City, then travel back to your hotel. Before we say goodbye, our driver and guide will take a few minutes to check the vehicle’s interior to ensure nothing of yours is left behind. If everything is in order, we’ll say our goodbyes and hope to see you on the next journey.
