Tour details

A day in Ho Chi Minh City may take you from peace to history. You can start with the quiet old pagodas of Buu Long and Giac Lam, and then go to important historical places like the Reunification Palace and the War Remnants Museum, which tell stories of Vietnam’s recent past and how strong its people are.

The journey starts early with a hotel pickup, where your driver and guide will meet you. It takes approximately 45 minutes to drive to the Buu Long Pagoda, located in the suburbs of HCMC. The distance from there to the city center is about 20 kilometers.

The beautiful Buu Long Pagoda in District 9 is the first stop of the Ho Chi Minh City Tour Full Day. Because of the mixture of Thai, Indian, and Vietnamese styles, this pagoda is often called a "Miniature Thailand." You may spend your time looking at the lovely patterns, peaceful lotus ponds, as well as enormous Buddha figures. The tranquil location is perfect for both deep thought and taking pictures.

After that, head to Giac Lam Pagoda. From Buu Long Pagoda, it takes roughly 33 kilometers and 1 hour and 9 minutes to reach there. The Giac Lam Pagoda is the oldest in Ho Chi Minh City. It was established in the 18th century. There is an old pagoda, a tall Bodhi tree, and some stunning pictures that depict how Vietnamese Buddhists live. The tour guide will tell you what the things symbolize and how the pagoda fits within the community.

After you learn about Giac Lam Pagoda, head to one of the surrounding places for lunch. You can pick between Vietnamese dishes and dishes from other countries. Here are some of our favorite places:

1. Banh Mi Huynh Hoa
Address: 26 Le Thi Rieng, District 1
Price Range: $1 - $3

2. The Deck Saigon
Address: 38 Nguyen U Di, District 2
Price Range: $15 - $30

3. Secret Garden
Address: 158 Pasteur, District 1
Price Range: $5 - $15

The third destination of the Ho Chi Minh city tour full-day program is the Reunification Palace, a landmark of historical significance, famously known for its main role during the end of the Vietnam War.
It served as the residence and workplace of the government of the President of South Vietnam during the Vietnam War.
You may view artifacts from a different time in the halls, such as old furniture, presidential offices, and the battle command room with old maps and communication equipment.
The architecture is beautiful, a blend of traditional Vietnamese and modernist designs that tells a story about getting political and mingling cultures.
This palace is not just a museum; it's a key location in the battle where the war's end was symbolized by a North Vietnamese tank crashing through its gates in 1975.

On your journey, you will stop at the War Remnants Museum. The War Remnants Museum and the Reunification Palace are both in District 1 and are easy to get to from each other.

Inside, you will witness an amazing illustration of the terrible things that happen during battle. The displays feature images, military gear, and anecdotes from both soldiers and civilians.

Even though it can be hard, the museum is a very significant place to learn about Vietnam's history and the fortitude of its people. It sends a strong message about how important peace is by depicting the terrible things that happened during the war and how Agent Orange has affected people for a long time.

Your final attraction is the bustling Ben Thanh Market, which is also in the center of District 1, a short walk from these historical sites.

A must-visit for anyone traveling in Ho Chi Minh City. You can purchase souvenirs and handcrafted goods, and enjoy some street food snacks at a bargain price at Ben Thanh Market.

As the day comes to an end, you'll transfer back to your hotel. Before we say goodbye, our driver and guide will stop for a few minutes for a quick check inside the vehicle, just to make sure nothing of yours is left behind.

If we want to ensure that everything's good to go, we'll say goodbye and see you on the next trip.

Seasons Throughout the Year

Ho Chi Minh City has a tropical monsoon climate, which is typically divided into two main seasons: the wet season from May to November and the dry season from December to April.
The dry season has bright sunshine and little rain, which makes it better for exploring the city. The wet season, on the other hand, has heavy rains.

The best time to see Ho Chi Minh City and its sights is from December to May, when it is dry. This time of year is the greatest for touring the city. You may enjoy touring and outdoor activities without worrying about the weather. You can see the colorful streets, historic sites, and green parks.

Local Cuisine: Delicious Dishes to Try

Ho Chi Minh City is a haven for anyone who loves food. The city’s famous dishes, like Pho—traditional Vietnamese beef noodle soup—and Banh Mi—a tasty baguette sandwich—are a must-try.

If you’re looking for something new, try Hu Tieu, a type of noodle dish that can be prepared in many ways, or Ca Kho To, a rich, flavorful caramelized fish cooked in a clay pot. Be sure to also sample some fresh spring rolls and the city’s popular seafood dishes. You can find all these delicious foods at Ben Thanh Market and from street food vendors throughout the city.

Choose Breathable: Airy clothing is necessary due to the city’s heat. Cotton and other textiles come in loose-fitting shirts and pants.
The Pagoda Respect: Covering up is a sign of respect at places of worship. Choose clothing that falls past your knees and covers your shoulders. For last-minute cover-ups, a long scarf or a wrap-around sarong can be useful.
Glasses with a hat: You can protect yourself from the sun’s rays by wearing sunglasses with UV protection and a wide-brimmed hat. Additionally, use plenty of sunblock.
ID and Some Cash: Always good to have identification and some cash for those small shops or temple donations.

FAQs

As travel agents, we frequently receive a variety of questions before the trip-planning process even begins. Everything from the best period to book to determining if travel insurance is worth it. We love being able to share our professional expertise and personal experience with our clients, offering them confidence that their holiday will be nothing less than exciting.

While it may seem too early to plan a holiday, it's always a good idea to research travel tour prices ahead of time and book as soon as a suitable offer has been identified. "When it comes to the winter holidays from October to February in the next year—the priciest time of the year—your best bet is to book the tour service before this period," according to my own experience. "Look to book between one to two months ahead for domestic travel and two to 6 months ahead for international travel."

Travel insurance might provide financial protection if you need to cancel an expensive, nonrefundable vacation for an accepted cause.

Travel insurance can also cover health care costs if you experience a medical emergency while overseas. My advice is to get travel insurance.

It is a good idea to check if you need a visa for Vietnam before applying for one, since this will save you both time and money, especially in times of crisis.

According to official announcements, residents of 25 countries will be able to travel to Vietnam and stay for 14 to 45 days (depending on nationality) without requiring a visa beginning in 2024.

To enter Vietnam, such citizens just require a valid passport with at least two black pages. The complete list of these countries can be found this link : //www.vietnam-visa.com/vietnam-visa-exemption/

Cancellation and refund management can be challenging for an activity provider.

On the one hand, you don't want to lose out on business revenue if a consumer cancels their reservation. Read additional terms and conditions.

An advance payment is a type of payment made ahead of its normal schedule, such as paying for a good or service before you receive it.

Advance payments are sometimes required by sellers; there is no extra payment on peak season or *last minutes of cancel service.
