Highlights of Dalat

Langbiang Mountain

The two highest peaks in the Dalat plateau are located in Lan Biang: Bidoup Ban & Lang Biang. They are also referred to as Dalat’s roof for this reason. These mountain peaks are also the inspiration behind the naming of the adjoining Bidoup Nui Ba National Park.

Tourists visit the mountain to enjoy the beautiful scenery and amazing views of the Dalat area, including forests, rivers, and ethnic towns. For sure, this mountain has more to offer than just beautiful scenery. Some of the largest ethnic minorities from the Central Highlands also live there. You can learn about their unique culture, passed down through the generations and hasn’t changed much, by visiting a nearby village. The opening hours here are from 7 AM – 5 PM and price is 30,000 VND.

Elephant Falls

The third-biggest waterfall in Lam Dong Province, Elephant Falls is a well-known highlight of Dalat countryside tour. The elephant-head-shaped rock that the falls tumble from gave rise to their name.

In addition, Elephant Falls got name because the sound of the water cascading down has a resonance similar to the rumbling sound of elephants in the bush. To appreciate this waterfall’s majesty, you must climb 145 natural stone steps and cross wide wooden boards that bridge a steep gorge. Behind the huge and beautiful waterfall, there is a truly fantastic cave called Bat Cave. It would be a grave mistake to visit Elephant Falls Dalat, Vietnam, and skip the fascinating Bat Cave exploration. The opening hours here are from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM and price is 20,000 VND.

Pongour waterfall + Cricket Farm

You can use the stepping stone route or the gently sloping walkways to get to this breathtaking waterfall. You will be enthralled by the majestic magnificence of the falls upon arriving. The forceful cascading water that pours down from above creates a vast body of water that spouts white mist. Moreover, a natural forest with an area of almost 2.5 hectares surrounds this waterfall. King Bao Dai named it the best waterfall in Southern Vietnam because of its majesty. The opening hours are from 7 AM to 5 PM and price is 20,000 VND.

One of the most exciting things to do in Dalat city is to visit a cricket farm. The owner of this farm will teach you with great enthusiasm how to raise crickets, take care of them, and breed them. You can smell crispy fried crickets as soon as you walk into the farm. This will make you eager to try this strange and unique dish made from these bugs. Price here is 10,000 VND.
