This UNESCO World Heritage Site is surrounded by fortified walls and a moat, offering a glimpse into Vietnam's regal past. Key attractions within the Imperial City include:
Ngo Mon Gate: The grand entrance to the Imperial City, this gate is adorned with intricate carvings and serves as a prime example of traditional Vietnamese architecture.
Thai Hoa Palace: Also known as the Palace of Supreme Harmony, this building was the ceremonial center of the Imperial City where the emperor hosted important state functions and received foreign dignitaries.
